RaderCo Weekender Snapshot - smarter reading for ADHD brains and a way to break unhealthy screen habits.
This cohort wasn’t about tips. People implemented theme days, stopped “checking email all day,” built vacation buffer days, and started protecting focus blocks. One participant told me, “I took the first vacation I can remember where I didn’t think about work.”
Heck Yeah!
For an eight-week program, the attendance and completed commitments were well above industry average, but what really had me happy-dancing was the feedback.
Brianna said, “Action Club has changed how I approach my workday. I prioritize better, sleep better, and feel better in general.”
Cindy said, “Out of the thousands of dollars I have spent on courses or conference upgrades, this is the only one I'm watching the replays and was committed to complete or attend.”
And Michelle is even considering inviting her husband to join in monthly priorities and reflections. That’s when you know something has moved from “course” to “life system.”
The fall waitlist is open, and yes, I’m definitely doing it again. If you know someone who would benefit from Action Club, or if you’d like to be notified when we launch, sign up here or reply to this email.
I also spoke to 500+ accountants on how to Elevate Their Focus. One thing I’ve found interesting lately is that two of my clients with ADHD, when first trying the Powered Path Playbook®, felt like it was too simple. Their neurodivergent brains wanted to complicate it. But once they figured out how to work it (and realized not everything has to be hard and complicated), the playbook became a game-changer.
My philosophy: simplify to amplify. Not everything has to be hard.
In between all that, I went on three walkie-talkies with a prospect, a speaker friend, and a client visiting from Switzerland. It’s the perfect way to get to know someone better and get off our butts, because we all sit in front of screens way too much.
Enjoying the Trolls at Dix Park with my folks.
Me and Mom
My folks visited, which meant pedicures with Mom at our favorite place and a trip to see the trolls at Dix Park.
Not the mean online trolls who would never be subscribed to this list…the giant, adorable, wooden ones. If you’re within an hour of Raleigh, go.
We also saw my friend Annie perform stand-up, which inspired me to start improv again with my friend Emily.
Yes, and...
RaderCo is feeling extra global this quarter, too. I started with two new coaching clients this week, one from the Netherlands and one from the UK, and I currently have two clients in Switzerland.
Me and Lisa, ready to SMASH!
I also took RaderCo Marketing Dynamo, Lisa, to Smash House for her birthday. We got crazy, smashing and throwing stuff to an 80s heavy metal playlist. Then we went to a ghost kitchen and had chili mo-mo's. I love this concept to help restaurants save money on kitchen space.
When you get this, I’ll be between a walkie-talkie and lunch with a friend, planning for our time later this month at the Dome House in the mountains, where I’ll be creating my Pocket Guide for Productivity.
On with the Weekender!

What a Design Day actually looks like... Last week, I spent three days in a dome house in the mountains of Burnsville, North Carolina, with my friend Wendy. I call this Design Days: No email, no meetings, just heads-down focus on one project. She was working on a keynote. I worked on my new book, The Right Things First: A Pocket Guide to Relentless Prioritization. It will literally fit in your pocket. It's with three beta readers right now, and I'll be launching it later this summer. More to...
Every ring, ping, buzz, and haptic triggers the involuntary part of your brain. The same part wired to respond to sirens and babies crying. Your brain hasn't figured out in 30 years that a Slack or Teams message isn't a survival threat. And even when you think you're ignoring it, you're not. You're making a micro decision Every. Single. Time. Why it matters: 150 emails and chat messages a day add up to 150 microdecisions before you've touched your actual work Decision fatigue follows you home...
...cue the events, AND the connections. I keynoted Reclaim Your Workday and led an Email Extinguisher breakout at the National Society of Accounting Cooperatives conference in Nashville last week. What I love most about these events isn't the stage time. It's the conversations in between. I'm an extrovert, so staying for meals, general sessions, and entertainment isn't an obligation; it's my favorite part. I hear how businesses run, what keeps people up at night, and what problems still need...
