RaderCo - Weekender Snapshot

It’s been a whirlwind...

It all kicked off with a trip back to Ghana for my dear friend Justin Jones-Fosu's wedding.

An incredible experience that still had me dancing in a dress that took real effort (and shallow breaths) to move in!

Then, we drove 6 hours to the village of Akyremade in Kumasi to commission the new middle school we've been building for two years. The first floor is done, and we're still raising funds for the second. The school was open-air two years ago and had no running water or toilets.

Now, they have a water borehole, toilets (dignity!), and a school with walls! My husband captured the day's event perfectly in this heartfelt Facebook post.

A huge thank you to my friends, family, and clients who made this possible! If you're moved to help, please consider donating. Every bit helps!

After only 24 hours at home, I was off to Denver for the National Speakers Association conference, soaking up every session on Artificial Intelligence I could.

This new technology is creating some exciting shifts for our RaderCo operations.

Stay tuned for more on that in an upcoming podcast and blog post.

Finally, I spent time with RaderCo Team Specialist Christina Rowe, exploring the largest carnivore sanctuary in the world.

Disturbing fact: there are more pet tigers in Texas than in captivity.

When you get this, I'll be enjoying coffee with RaderCo Executive Crisis Specialist Becky Sansbury and RaderCo Director of Marketing Lisa Wood and then off for a weekend of mountain biking and disc golfing.

On with the Weekender!

That’s exactly what happened when I spotted a booth vendor writing in his Powered Path Playbook® at the NSA conference in Denver last week. You can bet a 'Marcey happy dance' was in the mix. Check out Christian's quick testimonial, recorded after we recovered from all our excitement and surprise.

Reflections, Prioritization, and Planning At the end of each quarter, I do reflections: pull out my Powered Path Playbook pages, look at wins, lessons earned, smartest decisions, and start planning the next quarter. This round happened all over the place. Another round of Playbook Quarterly Reflections with Wendy! Wendy and I've been doing quarterly reflections together for about a decade. This time it was Yemeni coffee at Haraz Coffeehouse. My friend Lilly and I did an abbreviated version...

Deep focus doesn't happen because you decided to concentrate harder. It happens because you set the right conditions. Your environment, your mindset, and your energy level all either support focused work or work against it. Most focus advice stops at removing distractions. That's necessary but not sufficient. Why it matters: Missing even one of the three attention anchors means the other two carry more weight than they should Without intentional conditions, deep work gets replaced by the...

Mountains, karaoke, and the Hope Diamond Last week, Kevin and I joined my parents, siblings, and two nieces in Asheville, North Carolina, one of my favorite cities in the country, for our first family vacation since I was a kid. We hiked Catawba Falls with my mom (which included 535 steep steps), roasted s'mores, sang karaoke (for the record, "Islands in the Stream" and "Blame It on the Rain" are much harder than they sound...), played games, and took a ghost tour. Did you know the Hope...
