RaderCo - Weekender Snapshot


My favorite kind of work doesn’t feel like work at all.

Last week was full of face time—the real kind. I spent a whole day with Alexion Pharmaceuticals training managers on email habits, meetings, remote leadership, and healthy WFH behaviors. We even did walk-and-talks to solve problems and connect—my kind of multitasking.

Next stop: Blueprint Medicines, where I met up with RaderCo Coach Judith Guertin—our first in-person meeting in 10 years!

It was a bit surreal (and very awesome!) to see current & former clients in real-life 3D!


I also joined Raven Solomon on Future-Ready Fridays. Cathy Guske shared this fabulous workplace policy, straight from their handbook, and I had to recognize it!

AIA Virginia employees must take five consecutive business days off each year. This will help them avoid exhaustion and ensure they have time to clear their minds from work duties. Replying to emails and attending conference calls during the respective time is strongly discouraged and may be considered during employee performance reviews.

WOW! In other words, checking your email on vacation could count against you in your review. This group knows that a true recharge makes for a healthier, happier team member. High Fives!


Later, I walked + talked with my friend Noelle at the museum. Movement + conversation = MarceyMagicTime.


I was in Minneapolis this week with Servier and RaderCo Leadership & Strengths Specialist Dawn Sander. My top five CliftonStrengths are Learner, Discipline, Activator, Maximizer, and Significance. If you have your results, I'd love to know what they are!

I also helped Builders Mutual Insurance Company Break Free From Busy. We mapped tasks to energy levels—because admin work doesn’t belong in your peak hours.

And because I’m not one of the 93% who think they’re better-than-average drivers (Svenson study, look it up), I took a 4-hour safe-driving course. Humility powers improvement—and that applies far beyond the driver’s seat (and maybe includes a discount on car insurance!)

When you get this, I’ll be sipping coffee with the magnificent Olalah Njenga, then walkie-talking with my frient (friend/client) Clarissa, and then swapping vacation stories with RaderCo Crisis Specialist Becky Sansbury.

RADERCO IMPACT UPDATE

Milestone Reached: Middle School Complete!

We did it! Thanks to generous support, the Work Meaningful Foundation has fully funded the middle school in Akyeremade, Ghana. It will be commissioned on July 1, 2025.

The impact? 155+ Ghanaians employed, 450 students served (up from 267), and a fresh new space for learning—desks, paint, and plaques in progress.

Next up: a technology lab to connect students to the world beyond their village. The ripple effect is real, and we’re just getting started. Want to make a difference?
