Highlights

Last week, I keynoted the Cary Chamber of Commerce’s first Professional Women’s Conference, helping everyone Break Free From Busy.

This week, I presented to over 1000 people on Working Well Remotely, Breaking Free From Busy, and Finding Your Meeting Mojo.

Power Tip: One attendee of Find Your Meeting Mojo did the all-company call while walking outside and found they concentrated better and listened more because they couldn't multitask in front of their computer.

Fun Bits

This week, I caught P!nk in concert with my husband, saw Sistastrings with my friend Wendy (LOVED THEM), and gifted my stylist her first sensory deprivation tank experience—I highly recommend it for anyone struggling to quiet their mind!

When you get this, I'll be in a meeting for the second time in a year to get my government certification as a Woman-Owned Small Business. They denied it because they decided I worked for Raleigh (thus not a business owner) instead of living in Raleigh and booted out my application (seriously, I can't make this stuff up!).

Then, I'm off to recover from bureaucracy for lunch with Branding Extraordinaire Annie Franceschi and then a solo weekend while my husband performs in DC.

On with the Weekender!

Set up an Emergency File

Have an emergency file set up for you and your business, and make sure someone knows where it is and how to access it. Things happen, and you want to be prepared for whatever life sends your way. If the only one who knows the details is you, disaster is only one fall, illness, or accident away. Need help creating it?
