RaderCo - Weekender Snapshot

Ah, the culture buzz! I’ve packed in three live music events and a play in the past two weeks.

The highlight? Front row for John Moreland—just me and 38 others in a converted church in Durham after his Asheville performance was canceled. My heart goes out to everyone in the surrounding areas, including Florida, recovering from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

On the RaderCo front… Huge thanks to everyone who voted for my next book title! After a 3-way tie and two more discussions with business-book coaches, I’ve landed on:

Reclaim Your Workday: Sustainable Productivity Strategies for the New World of Work.

I’m excited to have already over 100 launch team members to help spread the word!

I presented three times to accountants on how to Work Well Remotely, Extinguish Email, and Break Free From Busy. I also spoke to the National Speakers Association of Ohio about creating Super Sexy Speaker Systems (because, let's face it, systems are sexy) and RTI International about elevating their focus.

I attended the launch party of Emily Crookston's book Unwritten: The Thought Leader's Guide to Not Overthinking Your Business Book. I've read a lot of books on writing, and this one is gold.

Lastly, a major shoutout to Carolina Aponte, RaderCo’s amazing fractional CFO, for being inducted into the NC Women Business Owners Hall of Fame!

When you get this, I'll be finalizing the manuscript to send to the formatter and gearing up for a quiet solo Friday night, a couple of walkie-talkies, brush-burning in the backyard, and time in the float tank.

On with the Weekender!

RADERCO POWER TIP

Considerations beyond a sturdy phone case...

Before giving a child their first phone, set & discuss your expectations:

  • WHEN they may use it
  • WHAT kind of apps they may download
  • HOW MUCH ACCESS you will keep, as their guardian or parent

PLAY Agency Director Kaitlyn Pearson's Testimonial Before that, I had a fun time as the opening and closing keynote speaker for the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina. The 2.5-day event kicked off with a DJ and rooftop...

Hooray - I'm 50! What an incredible two weeks it's been! My husband completely surprised me. All I knew when we left at 5:30 AM was that we were heading north, I needed hiking boots, and I'd never been there... It was Bar Harbor, Maine, and Acadia National Park! I didn't love the six-seater plane, but I'm alive and made it with some help from a prescription 🙂 We loved the walkability of Bar Harbor, and Acadia quickly became one of our favorite parks (and we’ve been to several!). I even had a...
